The Role:

As a Team Lead Engineer, you’ll be expected to fill a true player-coach role. From providing support, management, and leadership to the members of the Experience team, to driving technical initiatives in our code base, we are looking for someone who can build features as well as grow our team members. The Experience team focuses on the client-facing, web components side of the Rainforest product, and is a true full-stack team using Go, Vue, and AWS.

What Will You Do:

• Build product at an early-stage company where you’ll be building things from scratch instead of refactoring decades-old code
• Ensure high availability and security of the product so that billions of customer funds can move seamlessly
• Strategically think and scope out features on our Experience side in collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership that impact the long-term growth of the company
• Work directly 1:1 with direct reports on growth strategies, opportunities for continued success, as well as on their technical acumen
• Collaborate on the interview, hiring, and onboarding strategies as we continue to build out our engineering department more

Who You Are:

• 6+ years as a Software Engineer or within a similar role at a SaaS, payments, or technology company - experience with payments technology is a plus!
• Proven time spent managing and leading a team of mid-to-senior level engineers
• Experience with full-stack web development leveraging cloud technologies
• Proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to partner closely with product, operations, risk, and finance
• Demonstrated ability to work within an agile team structure in a collaborative manner
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
