About the Instructor
Yuri Eliezer, Intellectual Property Attorney at Founders Legal,

Yuri Eliezer heads up the intellectual property practice group of SmartUp. He specializes in preparing, developing and executing strategies for securing corporate intellectual property, portfolio development and maintenance, as well as negotiating and preparing licenses to intellectual property rights. He also assists companies with issues related to other areas of intellectual property such as copyright and trade secrets, as well as general business concerns. Clients he has served include Microsoft, Cisco, Cox, AT&T, General Electric, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Coca-Cola.
As an entrepreneur who saw the importance of early-stage patent protection, Yuri founded SmartUp® - an online patent filing platform designed for low-budget independent inventors and startup companies to secure their innovations. His work has attracted national media coverage and earned him partnership as a primary provider for intellectual property services in business incubators and accelerators across the nation.
