Well let’s compare, side-by-side, Amazon and Microsoft’s cloud. Don’t switch from a Macbook, iPhone or Nexus, and keep writing in python/ruby/nodejs/go…whatever. That’s right, keep the same tools and write the same code no matter the cloud. Let’s explore how to deploy from CI tools like Travis (travis-ci.org) and write apps for any platform, just like you do today.

Ian Philpot is a Sr. Technical Evangelist and former engineer at Microsoft who specializes in Azure Development. For the past five years he’s been working with various Product Groups helping to ensure their customers’ expectations are exceeded. Ian has been involved with events such as 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, 2014 FIFA world Cup, and most recently the Super Bowl XLIX. Ian is a Software Engineer with more than ten years of experience in full life-cycle development, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of application software in web-based environment, distributed N-tier architecture, and client/server architecture.
