About the Featured Speaker, Tom Wells:
Tom Wells is a Vice President with BIP Capital, an Atlanta based venture capital firm focused on software, healthcare IT, digital media, technology enabled services and franchise concepts. Tom serves on the board of several BIP portfolio companies, including REACH Health, Tropical Smoothie Café, and Tin Drum Asiacafe. Previously, he was a Senior Associate with Century Park Capital Partners, a Los Angeles based private equity group. Prior to that, Tom was an analyst in the San Francisco office of Harris Williams & Co., a leading middle market investment bank. He has advised on or invested in transactions across a broad range of industries including healthcare, technology, digital media, manufacturing, consumer products, franchising, environmental services and transportation. Tom received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Boston College.
About the Moderator, Chris Maxwell:
Chris Maxwell is an associate in Morris, Manning & Martin’s Corporate Practice. Mr. Maxwell is active principally in the firm's general corporate practice, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions and general corporate governance matters. Mr. Maxwell has assisted many of the firm's clients in structuring and consummating complex corporate transactions, including, mergers, acquisitions, debt facilities, financings, restructurings and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Maxwell focuses primarily on representing public and private companies, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies and family owned businesses, in general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital offerings.
