Code for America is in town for Big Data Week. We would love to meet with the Atlanta Tech Villagers to get feedback on some of the web-based solutions around infrastructure we're cooking up.
One area that has come up through our research is the need to improve Atlanta's outdated infrastructure—roads, sidewalks, bike paths, and transit. We are committed to helping Atlanta to embark on infrastructure projects with citizens needs in mind, helping to make the city an even better place to live, work, bike, walk, and drive.
The goals for this project are to:
1. Show needed infrastructure projects in order of priority, using city data
2. Solicit citizen feedback and participation to vote on the projects they'd most like to see
3. Determine opportunities for Complete Streets and sustainable infrastructure.
We have a few prototypes up and running and would love your thoughts, feedback, and input in exchange for breakfast!
1) Test the website and suggest additional features and UI improvements (keeping in mind that it is intended to reach all corners of ATL, including less digitally-savvy citizens)
2) Help us in branding the concept...naming suggestions, wording and language review are all extremely helpful.
With civic love,
Will Code for Peaches (Code for America Team Atlanta)
